What is different about the American Catholic Church?
Rev. David Coffey discusses what makes the American Catholic Church unique. He explains that there has always been some tension between Rome and the American Church. He attributes this tension to the American culture that Rome has a hard time understanding. Two important characteristics of the American Church are the involvement of the laity, and the collegiality of bishops in America.
