Community Engaged Scholarship, or CES, is rigorous, systematic scholarly work aimed at extending knowledge, engaging and informing others, and transforming the communities. It is marked by sustainable outcomes, reciprocity and mutual benefit between university scholars and community members, organizations and/or institutions. This collection represents the range of peer-reviewed CES publications by Fairfield University faculty and professional staff.

The Scholarship of Teaching and Learning, or SoTL, the systematic study of teaching and learning, is engaged in by scholars from all disciplines and professions who are interested in advancing knowledge about and expertise in teaching, and who are eager to understand how we all, teachers and students alike, learn and construct knowledge. Peer-reviewed SoTL studies are published in disciplinary and professional journals, as well as in interdisciplinary journals specific to SoTL research. This collection represents the range of peer-reviewed SoTL publications by Fairfield University faculty and professional staff.
