1990 was the third year Cardboard City was constructed on the patio of Barone Campus Center, on Palm Sunday, to highlight the issue of homelessness. According to senior Lynn Strapoli, "We try to tie it around Holy Week, paralleling the suffering of the homeless with the suffering of Jesus Christ... It's so easy to forget, and Cardboard City is a good reminder of what's going on the the world that we don't see on our campus."
