Description
Governor John Davis Lodge presented 210 degrees to graduating seniors, with the assistance of Rev. James H. Dolan, S.J., President of Fairfield University. Four honorary degrees of doctor of laws, and four master of arts degrees also were conferred during the ceremonies at Alumni Field.

This picture is one of a series of photographs taken during Fairfield University's First Commencement in June 1951.
