Discusses the findings of the American Association of University Women’s report entitled ‘How Schools Shortchange Girls.’ Documentation of the extent to which U.S. girls have been overlooked in efforts to set a national education agenda; Failure of school administrators to recognize clear instances of sex discrimination in their schools; Existence of a gender bias in testing and curriculum content.
