Dr. Bernard Cooke cites Thomas Aquinas as the person who has had the biggest influence on his intellectual development, as Aquinas was the guide that Cooke followed to learn how to philosophize and theologize. However, he also believes that his study of scripture, his interest in the liturgy and his experience living in the United States have all influenced his intellectual development.
