He served as chaplain of Yale University from 1992 to 2007, the first African American and Baptist to hold that position. Dr. Streets was the senior pastor of Mount Aery Baptist Church in Bridgeport from 1975 to 1992. He holds a master of divinity degree from Yale and both master’s and doctoral degrees from Yeshiva."
