Dr. John Barone presents a 25th anniversary clock to long-time Fairfield University and library employee Helen Lucas. This photograph was taken in the office of Barbara Bryan, the University Librarian.
Notes
Helen Lucas is a Fairfield University alumna, completing her B.A. in English through the School for Continuing Education in 1989. Dr. John Barone was the first provost at Fairfield University and first layman to be named provost at a Jesuit institution. He helped to spearhead the $35 million dollar Campaign for Fairfield that fostered many additions to the campus, including the Bannow Science Center and the Egan Chapel of Saint Ignatius Loyola. The Barone Campus Center is named in his honor. Image date is approximate.
