The academic processional and recessional consisted of delegates from about 50 colleges and universities, members of the graduating class, the faculty, recipients of honorary degrees, Governor John Davis Lodge and Rev. James H. Dolan, S.J., President of Fairfield University.

This picture is one of a series of photographs taken during Fairfield University's First Commencement in June 1951.
