Abstract
This column has been designed to highlight individuals who have been involved with NIDCAP and to share their experiences. Dr. Kathleen Vandenberg, PhD has been involved in facilitating the emerging competence of infants, families, and professionals in newborn intensive care for over three decades. She is a fourth generation San Franciscan native who greatly appreciates family. Her own family is a source of renewal that enables her to provide the emotionally intensive support to families in the NICU.
